Once winter sets in, there's not a lot you can do on a farm. Well, not crop-wise, anyway, aside from some winter vegetables, or unless you keep your greenhouse heated all winter. So what do market farmers like C.H. Bowling Produce do in the off-season?
Everything else, like barn expansions, fence repair, livestock care (there's no off-season for that), and the occasional clearing of cactus. Yes, cactus. In Maryland. Go figure.
